HALL S. BOND, age 90, a resident of Irving for 62 years, died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Baylor Medical Center at Irving.

Born January 5, 1924 in Abilene, Texas, to William Dixon Bond and Lula Mae Brunson Bond, he married Janelle Bartos on July 14, 1945. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and later served in the U S Air Force reserves.

A pilot at Braniff Airlines for many years, he served as a deacon and member of First Baptist Church in Irving. He was a member of the Commemorative Air Force, the Irving Amateur Radio Club, Braniff International Silver Eagles, and the Air Force Association.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Janelle, Bond of Irving; daughter, Jana Morse and husband J.L. of Irving; sons, Kyle Bond and wife LaNae of Longview, Bryan Bond and wife Ellen of Clarinda, Iowa; sister, Helen Jean Parks and husband Keith of Richardson; grandchildren, Dawn Palomares and husband Jose of Denton, Rachel Dickinson and husband Josh of Flower Mound, Travis Bond and wife Brigette of
San Diego, California.

Funeral service will be 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at DFW National Cemetery (Lane B). Dr. Keith Parks will officiate.
